Similarly, our medium-voltage vessel/ship and offshore platform transformers (voltage level below 10kV) support capacities up to 8000kVA. We excel in custom designs tailored to specific requirements, with our products certified by esteemed classification societies including CCS, ABS, BV, DNVGL, LR, KR, NK, RINA, and more. Choose CEEG for unparalleled quality and certification assurance.
How does the AFWF transformer function?
The CEEG marine water-cooled transformer, engineered for large vessels, features two cabinets: the transformer cabinet and the cooling system cabinet. Efficient fans transfer hot air from the transformer cabinet to the cooling system cabinet, recirculating cooled air to ensure safe operation. The heat generated by the transformer is expelled from the ship through circulating water in the water-cooled equipment, safeguarding other equipment and maintaining stable cabinet temperatures. The advanced cooling system includes main and auxiliary components such as fans, water-cooling units, air ducts, leak alarms, temperature controllers, and water tanks, ensuring optimal performance.
Key Features of the Marine Transformer
Exceptional Resistance to Moisture, Salt Spray, Mold, and Rust: The iron core surface is meticulously treated with a specialized resin coating.
Superior Efficiency and Durability: Boasting low losses, minimal partial discharge, strong overload capacity, and low noise. This is achieved using premium, highly permeable grain-oriented cold-rolled silicon steel sheets with a thickness of 0.18-0.3mm, coupled with a through-bolt structure to minimize noise.
Enhanced Performance with Advanced Techniques: Coils undergo multiple varnish dips, with electrical and mechanical connections utilizing specialized processes for optimum performance.
Seismic Resilience: The silicon steel core employs a 45° fully oblique step joint and square tube draw plate structure, bound with insulating tape, ensuring earthquake resistance, flame retardance, and high insulation.
Effortless Installation: The cabinet's modular design allows for swift and seamless installation.
Tailored for Flexibility: Custom designs meet specific requirements, offering flexible design options and fast response times.
For cable entry and exit, the transformer's enclosure features a convenient stuffing box located on either the left or right side. For transformers with capacities of 500kVA and above, the default method is bottom entry and exit, with cable holes on the transformer base to ensure secure and scratch-proof cable handling, providing a streamlined and efficient installation process.
Operating Conditions
Ambient temperature range: -25°C to 45°C. Relative humidity: ≤ 95%. Ship's swinging angle: ≤ 22.5°, tilt angle: ≤ 15°. Operational conditions encompass condensation, oil mist, salt spray, and mold, ensuring robust performance in harsh marine environments. Transformers designed to withstand vibrations and impacts, ensuring durability and reliability in demanding conditions.
