Introduction of Marine (Ocean Platform) Transformer
Insulation classes include B, F, and H. The capacity of the low-voltage transformer (voltage level below 1kV) is up to 8000kVA; the capacity of the medium-voltage vessel/ship-used and offshore platform transformer (voltage level below 10kV)) is up to 8000kVA. We can design and produce products catering to specific requirements and provide product certificates from multiple classification societies including CCS, ABS, BV, DNVGL, LR, KR, NK, RINA, etc.
The Structural Features of the Product
The core material is made of quality cold-rolled silicon steel sheet, carefully laminated in full 45° diagonally.
The insulation materials are made of Class B, F or H NOMEX paper and the service life of the transformer is longer than 30 years.
Moisture, Salt Spray, Mold, and Rust Resistance: The surface of the iron core is coated with a special resin.
Low Losses, Minimal Partial Discharge, Strong Overload Capacity, and Low Noise: The iron core material is 0.18-0.3mm thickness highly permeable, high-quality grain orientation cold-rolled silicon steel sheets which can reduce loss. A through-bolt structure is utilized to reduce noise significantly.
The coil of the marine transformer has a non-closure structure while that of the ocean platform transformer is cast with stuffing epoxy resin therefore it has good flame retardation.
The case of the transformer is made of quality steel sheet with Protection Class of IP00, IP20, IP22 and IP23.
The stuffing box is set at the left or the right on the top of the case of the transformer and the wiring style for the capacity of 500 kVA and upward is bottom in/bottom out. The cable holes are opened on the base of the transformer with a wire scratch-proof and fixation device.
Application Conditions
The product of our company can be normally operated under following circumstances:
Ambient temperature: -25°C to 45°C;
Relative humidity: ≤95%
Under vibration and shock generated form the place where the transformer is installed;
Swing angle ≤22.5°, inclining angle ≤15°;
nder affection from dew, oil mist, salt mist and molds.
